When it all finally goes right…

Urgh, I don’t need to explain the difficulties of being an artist. There’s a reason why many are the children of more wealthy parents. But once you’re in the room with 20/30/300 other dancers, it’s all about what you can bring to the table. Some get noticed fairly quickly, others have to wait until they figure out what it is they DO bring to the table, and many, many others never get their talents noticed. So, when everything you’ve done, repeatedly, over years and years of heartbreak and small successes, and truly worked to “put things into the universe”, finally starts to bare fruit…. Ooooo… Ooooooooooo…. It feels good. It feels, so, good.

Because I’m a superstitious person I can’t tell you much about all of the things that finally seem to be going my way, but I can say this; I’ll be performing in High Button Shoes at the New York City Center early next month. Everything else, you’ll have to wait for. Now I can only hope that the rain starting outside is indicative of the phrase “when it rains, it pours.”
